Please be advised that Springbank Park for All Seasons (“SPFAS”) has expanded its Restrictions Exemption Program (“REP”) as a result of recent discussions with Alberta Health Services. A copy of the latest protocols is attached.

Among other changes, SPFAS has clarified that all coaches and volunteers participating in youth sports programming ages 18 and older must comply with the REP point of entry screening requirements of SPFAS.  That is, they must provide proof of vaccination, proof of a privately paid negative COVID-19 test taken within the past 72 hours or provide an original vaccine medical exception letter (not a copy or a picture) in order to be allowed entry into SPFAS. Spectators (non-participants) ages 12 and older must also comply with these requirements.

We have been advised that a third-party security firm will begin enforcing these protocols on or about October 12, 2021. Until that time, Springbank Minor Hockey will be responsible for ensuring our participants, members and their invited guests follow these protocols while at SPFAS.  If preferred and available, these attendees may elect to have their documentation vetted directly by a staff member of SPFAS.  We remind you to be courteous and cooperative at all times when dealing with any volunteers assisting in the enforcement of these measures or with SPFAS staff. Our volunteers are only doing their part to ensure our kids can continue to play hockey during this extremely challenging time.
